All drivers are thoroughly vetted before hire, and must submit to strict scrutiny by DelStat. Our team at DelStat takes a personal approach to compliance, and all drivers are placed on an individual basis. All drivers are tested and certified to perform all the duties required by our clients. DelStat will insure all drivers are thoroughly knowledgeable as far as equipment, operations, paperwork, special procedures, safety, proper level of insurance, and compliance to all applicable laws and regulations. We take all measures possible to insure that we only put the best, most competent drivers on the road. We run department of motor vehicle reports, and require a valid, current, license. We have a zero tolerance drug and alcohol policy. There must be no DUI convictions and drivers must meet or exceed DelStat’s performance standards. Drivers are required to carry all necessary insurance, and must submit proof as such. We perform pre-hire drug testing, as well as random testing for drivers already on the road. Semi-annual, documented vehicle inspections are required. Drivers must have excellent communication skills, demonstrate ability to interact in a positive way with customers and are required to maintain a high degree of professionalism in the warehouse, on the road, and during the execution of their duties. Drivers are required to know all applicable safety rules, follow all proper emergency procedures, and exercise care when handling equipment, freight, or packages. Drivers must demonstrate proper paperwork protocol, adopt a teamwork mentality, and be able to solve basic problems in the field.
